About the work
A densely worked red and black form dominates the light, creased surface. Blue passages and a yellow arc interrupt its weight, bringing sharper contrasts into the composition. The texture of the support remains part of the image’s force, giving this untitled work by Jeffrey Porterfield a strongly physical presence. Marks and surface meet without settling into a single fixed narrative.
