Cultural strategy
Joseph Clark
Advisory
A considered approach to art, collections and cultural projects. Working with individuals and organisations to give shape to ideas and bring the right people into conversation.

Rooted in practice
Joseph Clark is a London-based collector and cultural producer working internationally. His advisory work draws on the experience of building a collection and co-founding V21 Artspace, with a particular interest in how art is encountered, understood and shared.
Each collaboration begins with listening: to the ambition of a project, its context and the artists at its heart. Research, close dialogue and thoughtful stewardship guide the work.

Areas of practice
Cultural strategy
Shaping the role of art within an organisation, place or programme. From an initial cultural ambition to a considered brief, the work brings together artistic direction, audiences and a practical approach to delivery.
Collection advisory
Helping private collectors and organisations develop a thoughtful approach to collecting. Areas of support include collection direction, research, cataloguing, loans and engagement with artists and galleries, with specialist expertise brought in where needed.
Partnerships
Developing collaborations between artists, cultural institutions, brands and patrons. The starting point is a shared purpose, with care given to the context, the people involved and the relationships that allow a project to endure.
Special projects
Working with collaborators on exhibitions, commissions, publications and cultural encounters. Support can begin with an early idea and continue through research, programme development and coordination with the people who will realise it.
